Service Specification

This Service Specification governs the use of the Services. Capitalized terms not defined here will have the meanings in the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Terms, Credit Terms, or other agreement you have with Patalyze governing the use of the Services (“Agreement”). If there is a conflict between the Service Terms and your Agreement, the Service Specification will control.

The Service is accessible by Users using their access credentials via a website. The Service allows to store, organize and analyze Input and Output in a databases comprising products and a set of Documents. A product is defined by the respective product documentation uploaded by User, comprising a textual or pictorial description of product features. The User defines the set of Documents entering a search query and selecting the Documents for import into the database.

The Service maps product features to claim elements of independent claims of the selected Documents by creating a claim chart for the independent claims of the Documents. One claim chart comprises all independent claims of a Document. A claim chart is a juxtaposition of the claim elements and the respective product feature, which is considered to be most similar to the claim element (“Relevant Feature”). A relevance score per independent claim is returned. The relevance score is based on the ratio of the total number of claim elements of the independent claim to the number of claim elements where a Relevant Feature was identified.

The Organization’s Credits are consumed based on the number of successfully created claim charts. A claim chart is considered to be successfully created when the relevance score for one product and at least one independent claim of a Document has been calculated. All requests per Organization are processed serially, even if the requests are sent from different Users. The Service can process requests more slowly or temporarily suspend the access to the Services on a case-by-case basis if the size of the Input (e.g. the Number of Documents, or file size of product description) significantly exceeds the normal and reasonable use and therefore the availability of the Services to all Organizations of Patalyze is affected.

Ability to process Input is subject to the ability of the Service to correctly read and translate the Input, which can't be guaranteed.

  • .pptx - up to: 30 MB
  • .html - up to: 5 MB
  • .pdf - up to: 30 MB
• Number of Documents and size of Documents - Up to 10,000 Documents with up to 150 pages each.
